The Road Map

The Roam Map

In order to have a sense of direction and accomplishment, there need to be tasks, goals, and achievements along the way — just like a video game, where you find a key to a lock and open a door, completing puzzles for progression. What better way to keep a project on track than a list of challenges to overcome?

In all honesty, the start of the project is the most exciting and most daunting part. The roadmap is here to help me keep my sights on where I want them to be, give some traceability to this dev log, and also show the things which don’t quite go to plan. You can see the initial roadmap below.

For some context, with things being foundational and more direction-based documents, I aim for this project to be quite open — not only in what I am trying to develop for my portfolio here, but I would also love other people I meet, and already know, to perhaps contribute to the project if they wish to. This gives the same sense of outline, direction, and accomplishment, with the freedom to add their own work to their own portfolios.
